nRF6350 Radio Configuration Example

The nRF6350 Radio Configuration Example shows how to use nRF6350 Display with TWI interface to see all the configurations with the radio and change its state/variables using the joystick on board. It uses the hardware delivered in the nRF51822 Development Kit.

The different Radio options provided in this application are:

  • Enter start channel for Sweep/Channel for constant carrier.
  • Enter end channel for Sweep.
  • Start TX carrier.
  • Enter delay on each channel (1ms-99ms).
  • Cancel Sweep/Carrier.
  • Enter data rate('0'=250 Kb/s, '1'=1 Mb/s and '2'=2 Mb/s).
  • Start modulated TX carrier.
  • Enter output Power('0'=+4 dBm, '1'=0 dBm,...,'7'=-40 dBm).
  • Start RX sweep.
  • Start TX sweep.
  • Start RX carrier.
Note
When the value of selection is changed in edit mode, its value is taken into effect immediately and the change in the radio spectrum with changed value can be noticed in the spectrometer.

Setup

Instructions on how to set up the nRFgo Motherboard: nRFgo Motherboard Setup (nRF6310).

Use the nRF6350 Display and joystick to maneuver through the Radio options.
Menu and configuration of radio variables:

  • Browse menu options by moving the joystick forwards/backwards.
  • Browse text of the option by moving the joystick right/left.
  • Select an option - press joystick down.
  • Increase value of selected option - move joystick right.
  • Decrease value of selected option - move joystick left.
  • return to the menu - press joystick down.

Testing

The nRF6350 Radio Configuration Example Application can be tested as follows:

  1. Compile and program the application.
  2. Use the joystick to browse through the menu options.
  3. Use a spectrum analyzer to confirm the behavior of the Radio module.
