The short software identification is represented as a string, for example: nrf9160_1.1.2

Parameters

buf	Pointer to the target buffer.
buf_size	Size of target buffer.

Return values

0	if the operation was successful.
-EINVAL	if the provided buf_size was not enough. Otherwise, a (negative) error code is returned.
